AG CONNECT Expo 2010 will provide a world-class event. for the global agriculture industry—bringing together the latest in equipment, technology and ideas.  The inaugural AG CONNECT Expo will run January 12-15, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Manufacturers, dealers, distributors and producers from almost every sector of agriculture want to be globally competitive. At AG CONNECT Expo, they will have knowledge-sharing opportunities to better evaluate their position in the world marketplace while networking in a global environment and learning how to gain a competitive advantage.

Telford-based manufacturer GKN Wheels will be rolling out support for this year’s West Midlands Show, after agreeing a three year sponsorship package with the show’s organisers.

This will be the fifth successive year that GKN has been headline sponsor at the West Midlands Show. Brian Newman, managing director at GKN Wheels, part of the Off-Highway division of GKN plc, said: "GKN Wheels shares a rich heritage with the West Midlands Show and we are pleased to extend our support. Our business has strong links with the agricultural community, as we are the global leader for supplying wheels to farming equipment manufacturers in the UK and worldwide."

 Every three years the world manufacturers of construction machinery gather at the Convention centre, Las Vegas, Nevada for America's leading Construction Show - Conexpo.

Between March 11th and 15th more than 144,600 industry professionals from around the world met in Las Vegas for the 2008 Conexpo/Conagg Exhibition.  International attendance represented 28,000 (more than 19% of the total attendance) with visitors from more than 130 non-U.S. countries.  There were 2,182 exhibitors (21% larger than the last CONEXPO-CON/AGG held in 2005) - A Record Breaker.

GKN OffHighway put on a united front for the first time at Conexpo and exhibited a range of its product including Wheels, Axles, Driveshafts, U Joints, fan clutch and an ICVD Gearbox.

 GKN Wheels is continuing to reinforce its position as the leading supplier of wheels to the off-highway market having achieved Partner Status with John Deere, the world’s largest manufacturer of agricultural products.

With thousands of suppliers worldwide, John Deere developed the international award as part of its Achieving Excellence programme, which has been designed to recognise world class supplier relationships and to rate the performance of a supplier. GKN Wheels Telford achieved Partner Status after exceeding all John Deere’s performance standards, and was presented with the award in America by John Deere’s Vice President of Global Purchasing.
